Wood Puzzle Archimede

Discover one of the oldest known mathematical puzzles, developed by the famous Greek mathematician Archimedes about 2,200 years ago.

This tangram-like set consists of 14 solid wood polygons, of varying sizes and shapes, that combine to form a square. Mathematician Bill Cutler determined in 2003, with the help of a computer, that there are 536 unique ways of assembling it into a square shape. How many do you think you can find?

When not in use, the puzzle serves as a decorative piece, enhancing any space you place it. The frame is made of lacquered MDF, and the pieces are crafted from FSC-Certified Pinewood.
