The museum has put together a very special exhibition… all about dogs in art! Harriet, the resident museum cat, isn’t thrilled about dogs stealing the show—but she’s just curious enough to take a look.

As she strolls through the galleries (with plenty of catty comments along the way), Harriet introduces us to more than 30 artworks from around the world—from classic paintings to modern street art. You’ll meet famous artists like Frida Kahlo, Banksy, Keith Haring, and Jeff Koons, and spot dogs in sculptures, photos, indigenous art, and even graffiti.

With colorful illustrations, fun facts, and surprising stories, Dogs in Art is a joyful introduction to the history of art for kids. It explores different styles and time periods, while showing that museums can be exciting, playful, and full of furry friends.

About the Authors

Valeria Aloise works in communication and loves telling stories that spark curiosity and bring smiles. After publishing her first book, Dogs Who Work, about dogs’ professions, she now embarked on a journey through art history. This new project is also a tribute to her French bulldog Arnold, her loyal and snoring companion for ten years. She lives in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Margot Tissot is a Swiss illustrator who delights both children and adults with dynamic patterns and vibrant colors. Besides illustrating books like Dogs Who Work for Helvetiq, she creates posters, flyers, catalogs, and exhibitions for various institutions. She lives in Lausanne, Switzerland.
